OUTDOORS RADIO EXPEDITIONS

DXpeditions - Outdoors CB and Amateur Radio Expeditions

This series it’s pretty much dedicated to my passion for CB and amateur radio. Many people will think that CB and amateur radio have nothing to do with outdoors. The other half of the people already know the strong connection between radio and outdoors.

The series it’s more like ( when I have the time to film ) kind of thing. I only make episodes when I’m actually going in an outdoors expedition strictly for CB or amateur radio events or camps. But you will be able to find lots of other videos on the blog page.

The videos are something extra, besides the regular outdoors videos I’m making. But I do hope you will find them interesting, useful and fun to watch. Making an expedition on a mountain just to make some long distance calls using a CB or amateur radio can be very fun and exciting. It’s something people used to do a lot when I was a kid, but these days it’s loosing popularity.

The main purpose of the series it’s to promote both CB and amateur radio, and make it popular again for the young generation. These days it’s so easy to communicate using a cell phone and the social media networks, but it’s also a lot of fun to do it using a radio and antennas or equipment you are building and testing it yourself.

I’m a big fan of both CB and amateur radio, and even if I don’t always have as much time for this as I would love to have, I still haven’t give up on the hobby after so many years. I just can’t stay away from knobs and transistors, or that static noise while you are trying to receive a ham radio operator on some really cheap and simple radio receiver you build after some schematic published in some magazine from the 70’s or 80’s. Let’s bring back those exciting times… what do you think ? I really hope there will be more of us getting into this exciting world of radio.
